Chris and Kenza and their two children have been part of Bethel since 2015. Chris comes from New Mexico; Kenza is from Morocco. They met while they both studied in Spain. They’ve spent their married lives in New Mexico, Morocco, and Delaware. It’s the privilege of his life to be Kenza’s husband and his children’s father.
He enjoys music – listening to it, making it, talking about it. It’s a blessing to him to be one of those who lead our church in corporate worship. He collects books and appreciates learning and teaching and being taught. Talking through a good book over coffee with a friend is one of his favorite pastimes. He cherishes his time in the Word of God. He wants to know God more.
His vocational path is winding. He studied journalism and began his career in communications for a university. He then moved into fundraising while earning a master’s degree in business administration. Healthcare was next, working in finance for a group of family practice and urgent care clinics. He currently works in information technology program management. His vocational calling is important to him. He does not separate his “secular” work from his “ministerial” work. He endeavors in all he does—whether at home with his family, at work with his colleagues, or at church with his brothers and sisters—to “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord [his] labor is not in vain” (1 Cor 15:58).
