Children
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” The vision of the children’s ministry at Bethel Baptist Church is to lead the children to Jesus. By planting seeds of truth, light and life, we can give them hope. By having programs and ministries in a clean, safe, friendly and enthusiastic environment, we can be the flint that sparks the desire to follow and know Jesus even at a young age. We seek to encourage that desire within them to become more like Him in their everyday life and help them discover that they are created special by God. God loves them and wants them to know Him, follow Him and tell others about Him, regardless of their young age.
Our ministry to the youngest members of the congregation is particularly important as it allows for all the other various ministries to take place. We are very thankful for the many volunteers who give of their time to care for our precious children during all the regular and special services of the church.

Sunday Children's Ministries
INFANT NURSERY TO TODDLERS SUNDAY SCHOOLS
"Come my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord" Psalm 34:11
Infants - A review of the God of Creation and introduction to Worship Music.
1 and 2 years old - A new class is starting which focuses on our toddler age group. The curriculum is still being evaluated.
2 and 3 years old - Heartshapers focuses on opening the Bible to little learners, with the focus on God's Creation of the World, and looking at God's work in and through the lives of Noah, Abraham, Joseph and Samuel.
PRESCHOOL & ELEMENTARY SUNDAY SCHOOLS
4 and 5 years old - He Established a Testimony - a study for preschool children of God's greatness as seen through the Old Testament.
Grades 1 - 3 - The ABC's of God - A study for children on the greatness and worth of God.
Grades 4 - 6 - To Be Like Jesus - A study for children on following Jesus.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH
During the Worship Service, children ages 4 through the 3rd grade are invited to spend the first part of the worship service with their parents. Then just prior to the offering, children in this age group will be dismissed for Children's Church where they will learn hymns so foundational to our faith, as well as study a curriculum by Generations of Grace.
During the Worship Service, children ages 2 & 3 will have their own worship song time, as well as a brief study of God's Word.
AWANA
AWANA, is a curriculum which has been adopted for the Wednesday evening children's ministry. The program, developed and distributed by Awana Clubs International, focuses on teaching the gospel and building a biblical worldview through Bible memory and doctrine. The organization supports the principle of parents as the primary spiritual trainers for their children.
